Using WD-40 to clean tools

There are only a few things on this planet that can help fix anything and one of them is WD-40 (the other is duct tape, of course). One of the many uses of WD-40 that you may not have thought of is cleaning tools. Whether they are rusty or just dirty, WD-40 can fix them right up:

Dirty tools

If you are leaving your tools dirty after you use them, they will rust and be pretty useless after a while. After you get done working, set some time aside and clean your tools right. First, use a rag to wipe off any grease or dirt that’s on it. Then, lightly spray some WD-40 on the tool and let it sit for a few seconds. Before it dries on its own, wipe the tool off with a clean rag and put the tool back where it belongs. Just those simple steps can keep your tools from becoming rusty.

Rusty tools
If you neglected your garden tools and they rusted since the last time you’ve used them, don’t worry, WD-40 can fix them right up. Spray it onto the tools and let it sit there for a while. Using steel wool, rub it on the tool and watch the surface rust come right off.
